CAROLINE HARDER, Head of department Bachelor of Dance, Codarts Rotterdam
Caroline Harder studied dance at the Rotterdam Dance Academy in the Netherlands. As a dancer she worked with Dance Works Rotterdam for about 20 years. During those years Caroline worked with a variety of choreographers: Ton Simons, Amanda Miller, Jacobo Godani, Stephen Petronio, Nanine Linning, Tere O'Connor, Anouk van Dijk and Rafael Bonachela.
During her career her contribution to dance was recognized with the Silver Swan Award (best performance) in 1995 and the Golden Swan Award (life time achievement) in 2007.
Aside from being a dancer she was participating as a member of various juries like the Concours Eurovision for Young Dancers and the Amsterdam Arts Awards. As an active member she was involved in various advisory committees amongst others the Performing Arts Fund NL. In addition to her career in dance Caroline is an accomplished coach.
In her current work as head of the bachelor Dance Performer at Codarts University of the Arts Caroline applies her expertise in Dance, coaching and management to creating inspiring and outstanding educational programmes in close collaboration with the professional network.
SANJA MAIER-HASAGIC, Teacher, Repetitor, Choreographer and Coach, Codarts Rotterdam
Sanja Maier-Hasagic graduated at State Ballet school of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dance specialization at Centre de Danse International Rosella Hightower, Cannes-France and Major in Dance and Choreography at Codarts Rotterdam - University of the Arts, The Netherlands.
Currently she works as a coordinator, teacher, rehearsal director, study and creative coach at the Dance department of Codarts Rotterdam.
As a dancer she worked with companies and choreographers from Europe and America, among others The National Ballet Sarajevo, Dansgroep Krisztina de Chatel, Jeune Ballet International, Charleroi Danses, Lieber Gorilla, Gato Bizar, Bodies Anonymous, Samuel Wuersten, Conny Janssen, Christina Binder, Sascha Engel, Ciejasmina, Dick Hauser and other free-lance projects in the Netherlands and abroad.
Her choreographic work has been performed regularly in the Netherlands and abroad and has been granted residencies and guest performances on International Festivals.
Sanja was recipient of the DanceWeb '99 scholarship program, sponsored by Rudolf Nureyev, Dance scholarship by Rosella Hightower, Corrie Hartong Fonds, and Van Beek Donner Stichting for her choreography studies. In 2001, she was awarded an honorary mention by the NPS webd@ns competition for her interactive dance film Can Jar Last Jam. For several years she was an artistic director of Zvrk - International Dance Festival, Sarajevo BiH and Association for education and new initiatives in dance in BiH.
She is initiator and leader of various multidisciplinary projects and teaches internationally classes in improvisation, composition, contemporary techniques, creative coaching and ballet and has been invited among others by The Ailey School, A.E.D. / Livorno Italy, master classes at Hacettepe University Ballet Department Ankara, Master classes at Axe ballet, Pistoia Italy, Tanzelarija Sarajevo BiH, State Ballet school of Sarajevo, and the Ludwik Solski State Drama School in Cracow / dance department in Bytom and more.
Among others she is a jury member at International Dance Competition Spoleto and TeramoDanza - Concorso Internazionale Città di Teramo in Italy. She worked closely with Jiří Kylián as a coordinator of the Jiří Kylián research project ‘One Of A Kind’ – the professorship by Codarts Rotterdam.
